Dr. Amy Larsen - Veterinarian

Dr. Amy Larsen, originally from Aledo, TX, currently resides in Plano, TX.

She is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she completed both her undergraduate and veterinary studies. As an undergraduate, Dr. Larsen majored in Animal Science and participated in the university and animal science honors programs, working in animal behavior and reproductive biology labs. She earned her undergraduate degree in 2020 and graduated from veterinary school in 2024. During her veterinary education, she was an active member of the Veterinary Business Management Association, Polo Club, and the Christian Veterinary Fellowship.

Dr. Larsen's passion for veterinary medicine began early. At the age of 16, she started shadowing at a veterinary practice in Aledo. This hands-on experience continued through high school and into her summer and winter breaks during veterinary school. Dr. Larsen has been dedicated to the field of veterinary medicine since 2020, specializing in small animal medicine. Her specific interests include internal medicine, animal behavior, dermatology, preventative care, and soft tissue surgery.

A devoted pet parent to two cats, Fawn and Lenny, Dr. Larsen cherishes the companionship of her foster cats. She also looks forward to adopting a dog soon. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending quality time with her pets.

Dr. Larsen is an avid supporter of animal rescue initiatives. She has fostered approximately 60 dogs and cats through Weatherford Whiskers and Parker Paws animal rescues. This rewarding experience has fueled her commitment to continue supporting local animal rescues and advocating for animal welfare.
